Cerrie Burnell and Ade Adepitan announced as Inclusion Ambassadors for Inclusive Minds

Cerrie Burnell (author, actor and TV presenter) and Ade Adepitan (author, Paralympic athlete and TV presenter) were announced as Inclusion Champions for Inclusive Minds at the end of the Diversity: Where’s the Issue Seminar at London Book Fair. Ade and Cerrie’s role will be to champion Inclusive Mind’s growing network of Inclusion Ambassadors. These are individuals (generally aged between 8 and 30) with important first-hand knowledge of particular facets of diversity and a genuine interest in sharing their expertise and experience to the benefit of children’s books.

Cerrie Burnell comments: “It’s lovely for Ade and me to be working together with such an important and progressive organisation as Inclusive Minds. They are a powerhouse of inclusion and we’ve both experienced the amazing work they do championing, diversity, equality, inclusion and accessibility in children’s books. They have created an impressive network of young people and we can’t get wait to get working with such an engaged and inspired group.”

We are thrilled to have the support of Ade and Cerrie in helping us promote and grow our network of Inclusion Ambassadors. Their own knowledge and lived experiences together with their passion for children’s books and inclusion makes them such perfect champions for what we do.  We are looking forward to continuing to work with them to help improve the children’s publishing landscape.
